No. You do not need an eMHA account to access the forms.
Once the attending officer sends the form to your email address, you will receive a secure access code. Simply enter this code to view and interact with the form as a guest user.

Will I need to double-key information into my EPR or internal forms?

The eMHA form allows healthcare professionals to submit a request for police presence, which is immediately visible to police. You will not be required to add in any further information and can download the form as a PDF to store locally as per your internal processes.

British Transport Police (BTP) have developed this digital Section 136 form in partnership with Thalamos to create a nationally consistent approach to the 136 process.
BTP's procedures are not changing—only the
format of the form and how it is shared. This means it may differ slightly from local force processes, but it is fully aligned with national standards.
