As a SOAD (Second Opinion Appointed Doctor), you can complete statutory certificates on eMHA. Certificates are created within the same workflow as your SOAD Report Form (SRF).
This guide explains which certificates are available, how to select and complete them, and how to finalise the process.
You can complete the following statutory certificates within the platform:
T2 – Section 58(3)(a)
T3 – Section 58(3)(b)
T4 – Section 58A(3)
T5 – Section 58A(4)
T6 – Section 58A(5)
CTO11 – Section 64C(4)
Additionally, there is an option to select “No Certificate”, which will generate a formal notification to providers confirming that a certificate will not be issued.
At any point after beginning the SOAD assessment, open the Statutory Certificates dropdown menu and select the relevant form.
You can choose a single certificate or multiple forms to use together (e.g. T3 and T6). Select all that apply to the assessment.
Once you’ve selected the appropriate form(s), click the blue + Add button. This will generate the certificate ready for you to complete.
The form(s) you’ve added will now appear below the certificate drop-down menu. Click Start to begin completing the statutory certificate.
Once the form is complete, a green tick will appear next to the form title. This indicates that the certificate has been finalised and can be reviewed.
Once the SRF and all associated statutory certificates are complete:
Submit the SOAD Report Form
Submit the Statutory Certificate(s)
These documents will be sent to the relevant providers and recorded within the system.
