Reconciling the s136 form with a eMHA patient record linked with the Spine/Rio
BTP officers do not have access to the Spine or to Rio, therefore they are not aware of the person's NHS number at point of detention. This means the NHS number will be unknown for patient records created by BTP. When this is shared into eMHA, this form should be reconciled with eMHA records linked to the Spine/Rio.
This action can only be done by eMHA users with permissions to be able to merge records. If you require a record to be merged and are unable to do this, please contact your MHL team and share the s136 form via eMHA with them.
- Access the s136 form
- Click 'Action' on the top right-hand corner of the patient page and click 'Merge'
- Enter the NHS number and click Search
- Select the correct patient record and click Continue
- Provide a reason for why you are merging these patients and click 'Continue'
- The patient record with the NHS number will always be the primary record
- You can undo the merge for 30 days
What to do if an eMHA patient record does not exist with that NHS number
If there are no patient record results for the NHS number you have entered, you can create this patient record:
- Go to 'Search Patient' and enter the NHS number, then click Continue
- This will create a patient record for this NHS number
- You can now access the s136 form and click 'Action' on the top right-hand corner of the patient page and click 'Merge'
