Accessing eMHA: Logging In and Setting Up Text-Based MFA
eMHA can be accessed securely from any device (mobile, tablet or laptop) using a web browser with an internet connection. This guide explains how to log in using an NHS.net email address, how to access the system without one, and how to set up text-based Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA).
If you have an NHS.net email address, no password or additional setup is required. You will be granted access via a secure, single-sign-on flow.
There are two options:
Option A: Direct Access
In your web browser, type: eMHA.thalamos.co.uk
You will be taken directly to the login page.
Enter your NHS.net email address and click Continue.
Option B: Via the Thalamos Website
Visit: thalamos.co.uk
Click Log In in the top-right corner.
You may wish to favourite the login page in your browser for quicker access in the future.
If you do not have an NHS.net email address:
You will need to set up a secure password and text-based MFA to access eMHA.
If you require an NHS.net address, please contact the CQC to arrange one.
Go to: eMHA.thalamos.co.uk
Enter your email address and click Continue.
On the next screen, click Forgot password to create one for the first time.
Go to your email inbox and click the reset password link.
Create a new password:
Minimum 12 characters
At least one uppercase and one lowercase letter
At least one special character
Return to eMHA.thalamos.co.uk and log in using your email and new password.
If you are logging in without an NHS.net email, you will be required to complete an MFA setup during your first login.
After entering your password, you will be prompted to set up MFA.
Enter your mobile phone number and click Continue.
A 6-digit code will be sent to your phone.
Enter the code and click Continue.
Optionally, tick "Remember this device for 30 days".
Record the backup code safely in case access is needed without your device.
Didn’t receive the code? Click Resend.
