In some circumstances you will be unable to complete your second opinion and you will need to 'pass-back' the case, for example when a patient has been discharged part way through the second opinion process.
You should not submit a second opinion on Thalamos in this instance as the assessment was incomplete. You should ‘Pass Back’ the case instead.
You cannot pass back a case within Thalamos. Instead you should:
- Notify the SOAD Services Admin team that you are unable to complete the case.
- Copy and paste any relevant information from the assessment and transmit via CJSM or the Request Portal.
- Do not send a ‘No Certificate Issued’ submission.
- Delete the partially completed assessment from your drafts using the bin icon. (See image below)
