In some circumstances you will be unable to complete your second opinion and you will need to 'pass-back' the case, for example when a patient has been discharged part way through the second opinion process.

You should not submit a second opinion on Thalamos in this instance as the assessment was incomplete. You should ‘Pass Back’ the case instead.

You cannot pass back a case within Thalamos. Instead you should:

  1. Notify the SOAD Services Admin team that you are unable to complete the case.
  2. Copy and paste any relevant information from the assessment and transmit via CJSM or the Request Portal.
  3. Do not send a ‘No Certificate Issued’ submission.
  4. Delete the partially completed assessment from your drafts using the bin icon. (See image below)
