Accessing the NHS London s136 & MCA Dashboard

Accessing the NHS London s136 & MCA Dashboard

136 & MCA London Dashboard

From 20th May 2026, there is a new & updated dashboard for s136 & MCA data across London. This is replacing the Section 136 Pathway Dashboard hosted on PowerBI, that only contained s136 data from the Metropolitan Police Service.

The key differences:
  • S136 Data is now available from all 3 police forces in London (MPS, BTP & COLP)
    • BTP s136 Data is available from 31st July 2025
    • COLP s136 Data is available from 23rd March 2026
    • MPS S136 & MCA Data is available from 20th May 2026
  • MCA Data will be available from MPS, and shortly from COLP and BTP.

Accessing the Dashboard

To access the new dashboard, please login here and select *NEW* 136 & MCA London Dashboard' from the "Team Selector" list.

Majority of the data on this dashboard will be informed from BTP incidents starting from 31st July 2025.  There is road mapped activity to integrate the data from the old dashboard to the new dashboard to ensure you can access them form the same place. Until then, the old PowerBI Dashboard will be available.

If you already have an eMHA account, the 136 dashboards will appear as another option on your team selector. To find them quickly, type 136 into the box.

Question

Answer

Why am I seeing incidents are not London Trusts?

  • The dashboard shows incidents based on the BTP Sector ID where the incident takes place. This is selected by the officer.

  • This means that a BTP officer could select that an incident happened in a London Sector ID, but took them to a POS outside out of London.

    • Example: Some BTP sector IDs cover London and non-London areas (e.g Guilford, Wimbledon and Richmond)

  • This has been done, as BTP is a national force, and Sector ID is the most reliable information to define where a incident has taken place.

  • If we limited it to London POS, then there is a risk that we would not capture any London POS that have been entered manually.

Why do I have access to two s136 dashboards and when will these be integrated?
  • You will have access to two dashboards to ensure you have access to historic data as well as data from May onwards.

  • There is roadmapped activity to integrate the data from the old dashboard to the new dashboard to ensure you can access them form the same place.

What if a specific graph is not showing?
  • Try to refresh the specific graph. You can do this by clicking the three dots and clicking force refresh:

Why are some ‘over time’ graphs starting in 1999?
  • This is due to a manually entered user error by an officer. A fix is in to have the default view be from 31st July 2025, which is when the data actually starts.

  • You can put a time filter on the whole dashboard manually:

Why does the London Borough filtering not apply to BTP incidents?
  • This question only applies to MPS & COLP incidents. Since BTP is a national force, their digital form does not specifically ask which London Borough the detention took place in.
