How to find a Doctor using Dr Finder
Once you have found the patient, you will be able find a doctor to complete the assessment within eMHA;
- Click 'Start Form' next to Admission Forms
- Select 'Invite Doctor for MHA Assessment'
You will then see two options:
Help me find a doctor
- Search for available Section 12 doctors near the assessment location based on their availability and specialisms.
I know who to invite
- Send an invitation directly to a specific doctor. This will share the patient information with the doctor via eMHA, they will then be able to complete any documentation within eMHA.
If you need to search for available Section 12 doctors;
- Click 'help me find a doctor.
- If you have the assessment location, enter the address and postcode
- If the location is not yet confirmed, select toggle Location not yet known
- Input the date and specific time that the assessment will take place. You can update this later if anything changes. You will also be able to choose more specific timings later.
- Click ‘Create assessment’ to continue
Finding a doctor
Refine your search for a suitable doctor
Once you have created the assessment slot, you will see all doctors who you can choose to request. You can use filters to narrow down this list to find the most suitable doctor for the person.
On this left, you can:
- Filter by specialisms of the Dr,
- Filter by gender of the Dr,
- Filter by languages spoken of the Dr,
- Update the selected availability slots
- Update the assessment location
Review Doctors
Once you have updated the filters, you can view the most applicable Doctors.
- ‘Matching Doctors’ are doctors who have the exact matches for your current filter criteria, including availability, gender, languages, specialisms and their location.
- ‘Other Doctors’ are doctors who do not match your current filter critera but are available in the selected local authority.
- You can select any doctors, whether they are matching or not.
Click on the down arrow next to the Doctor’s details to view additional information
