BTP Officer FAQs

BTP Officer FAQs

Engaging with the NHS:

We have created a resource hub for NHS Trusts, explaining the programme to them and providing resources that you can use to communicate with them. If they do not wish to receive forms digitally, either by email or a share-code, then you will always be able to indicate this.

This can be found here: BTP Section 136 - NHS Workstreams Overview

What should I do if there is no signal?

Officers should be able to connect to GovWifi on their devices (however this might not always be available). A guide on how to do so is available here: Connect to GovWifi - GovWifi.

If you don’t have signal, you may not be able to complete the process yourself. However, there are a few options:
  • If you have access to a radio or alternative communication method, you could ask a colleague or officer in the office to complete or submit it on your behalf.

  • You can note down the share code and provide it to NHS staff, who may be able to access the form independently.

For the best experience, try to complete the process in an area with a stable connection.

How does this differ from the SVR form that I have to fill out?

A: The 136 incident form on MHForms comes before the SVR form and can be shared with the NHS. The SVR remains an internal BTP process. Future integration of the two systems is being explored by Thalamos and BTP to streamline the process.

What do I do if I the place of safety is not on the drop down list?

A: If you cannot find the place of safety you are at on the provider drop down list on MH Forms, please contact us at support@thalamos.co.uk

Can I complete a forms even if I have left the POS or the s136 has ended?

Yes, you can complete a form even if you have left the Place of Safety and the s136 has ended. This means you can still capture relevant s136 data and a complete form even if you were not able to do this at the time. To do this:
  1. Complete all relevant fields on the form
  2. Add the Places of Safety you visited
  3. Rather than share the form with the NHS, click 'END FORM' in the bottom left hand side of the page
  4. You can complete the form and supervisors will have access to the PDF
